The labors of Hercules A: Pumping Gas

Approximately two billion miles rom Earth, the little yellowish circle in the middle of the pic emits plasma in opposite projecting jets which form into the clouds we see in pink.

The yellowish circle is a galaxy, Hercules A, and the jets are created by the ionized gas which collects at the edge of its black hole.

The image is from the Hubble telescope and was taken in November of 2012.
